Agrotechnics.
Fertile medium loamy, air-permeable soils are suitable for cucumber. Good predecessors are potatoes, onions, cabbage, peppers. Cucumbers are grown by sowing seeds in the ground or through seedlings.
Sowing: cucumber seeds are sown in soil warmed up to +14+15°C. Seeding depth 2-3 cm. Crops should be covered with foil.
Planting seedlings: seedlings are planted in the ground when the threat of frost has passed. Cultivated in a row method according to the scheme 60x15 cm. For the correct development of the plant, the first 4 ovaries are pinched. The stem is directed along the trellis.
Care: consists of weeding, loosening, watering and fertilizing. Watering should be carried out after sunset with warm water. During the growing season, 2-3 fertilizing are carried out.
Harvesting: enters fruiting 45-51 days after mass shoots.
With multiple harvesting, the total marketable yield is:
* in open ground up to 16.3 kg/m²
* in protected ground up to 28.0 kg/m².
